Robert Johnson is a company that is located in the northern parts of the Free State, in a town called Kroonstad.
The company is founded by Itumeleng Tlale, a young man who was born on The 12^th of January 1988, in Kroonstad. He studied Marketing Management through University of South Africa (UNISA), and he has always had a passion for interior décor and design.

Itumeleng realised his passion from the time he worked for a store where they sold and fitted curtains. Part of his daily work included going to their clients’ homes to get measurements and fit the curtains; that is when he realised the need for unique and modern headboards. He opened his showroom on the 4^th of June 2016 in Kroonstad, where his clients can view his work and get the feel of what his business is about.

His business started off with Itumeleng selling custom made headboards only. He advertised himself via word of mouth and social media, and his work was well received by people all over South Africa. The good response he got from people motivated him to expand his business, from just manufacturing and selling custom made headboards to manufacturing and selling custom made ottomans, chaises, wingbacks and upholster blanket boxes.
